The time has come to say goodbye,
To the company where I stayed for a while.
Thank you for the knowledge and experience that I acquired.
Including the unforgettable moments which made me smile.
Leaving this kind of company is not that easy.
Especially when you met people who considered you as part of the family.
The team who made the development time in a manner called 'pressure-free',
Where happiness while having an awesome journey is the primary key.
The moment when I was interviewed,
By Ms. Roxanne and the leads of this splendid group,
What came into my mind was a project that's so huge.
'This will be a great journey' is what I conclude.
Since the time I started way back November of 2011,
I enjoyed the environment and the kind of workstation they had given.
The friendly peeps who shown me an easy path to become one of them.
Especially when I lean on them during my frustrations when my code is broken.
It even became exciting when I was assigned to GUI team.
Even though designing a website is hard for me to imagine.
CSS has the capabilities to make a site very impressing.
And when I first used it, I successfully made our page ruined.
As time goes by, designing using CSS was just like a chicken in KFC.
Our page rocks in all browser except in the legendary IE.
The appearance is okay, but it lacks interactivity.
Then I realized: "Oh my gosh! I need to study javascript and jQuery!"
Applying these 3 technologies made the site cool so far
But IE is so troublesome and seems to make war.
It limits your CSS files to 32, and beyond it, the site will be in critical.
Good thing we have Tim Josef Tan who defeated IE thru the use of JAWR.
Being a web developer is quite stressful,
Especially when you check your defect list and you found it full.
All you want is to wipe them out using your technical tools.
And when the defect is not evident, you'll mark it "Not Reproducible" with matching "sipol".
This project made me grow not only in the technical aspect.
It taught me that for everything you do, it's vital to have clear business requirements.
If these business requirements are incomplete and far from being perfect,
Then expect a vast number of defects caused by ambiguous requirement documents.
When the final deployment was made for the project's go live,
Each one of us was excited to see our work in the actual site.
We even received positive and negative customer feedback,
But in general, our dedicated efforts made the prod site rocks.
All in all, we all learned from this spectacular Journey.
We speculate seriously to solve defects easily.
We are very 'bibbo' kids, especially during a party.
We are also thankful to on-site leads, for every lunch out which made us grow horizontally.
As I leave this company, I would like to thank each and every one.
For the opportunity that you've given me during this little span of time.
I came here with simple skills and didn't even think to be someone.
But as I conquer my new endeavor, all the things I knew, I experienced, and I felt will be kept inside me every time.
Good luck on your next adventure ;)
